ON JANUARY 7, the first school day following the change to Daylight Saving Time, Rappahannock County schools will operate one-half hour later. This means that all schools will begin each day 30 minutes later and dismiss 30 minutes later under Daylight Saving Time. *
According to school officials, the change in schedule was made to avoid having children waiting for school buses before daylight. A return to regular school hours is expected in March. . ^
Parents are advised that buses will arrive at their scheduled stops one-half hour later under the new time schedule. , .
School officials also announced an -adjustment in the school calendar as a result of time lost prior to the Christmas vacation. January 25th, originally scheduled as a professional work day, has been rescheduled as a teaching day and the work day has been scheduled for January 26.0
