Your outstanding accomplishments in producing the Rappahannock News in 1973 have been a continuing source of reward and satisfaction to us as subscribers—who have to rely on the paper for news of what is really taking place in the County and in the area generally.
Your reporting reflects as accurately as an image in a mirror the varied events in the county. This is true not only on a day-byday basis of contemporary events but also, and very importantly, an indication of the long-term effects that derive from them.
The meetings of the Board of Supervisors have been reported clearly and in the language spoken, thus giving a real and true indication of the actual tenor and feeling of the parties. This is reporting of the news at its finest; no bias or slanting the news one way or the other. Some of the topics generate a great deal of heat and acerbity. We feel that some of the complaints that have appeared in the paper have really been a tribute to a fearless and unbiased reporting of the news as it happened. Dbgs preying on other animals; barns burned; roads in need of repair; garbage disposal problems, littering, other incidents of a like nature, have been dealt with fully and fairly. And they are
