SHENANDOAH NATIONAL Park Ranger Tony Bonanno was talking to four Bethesda, Md., youths recently in front of the Bid Meadows Wayside, when one of the youths tried to sell him a $400 Konica camera for $50. The youths said that they needed money for gas for their trip back to Washington, D. C. After discussing the wisdom of selling such a fine camera so cheaply, the Ranger declined the offer while making a note of the camera’s serial number.
After the youths departed, the ranger called for an NCIC check. About ten minutes later, a reply came back from Park Headquarters that the camera
