Superintendent Robert R. Jacobsen has announced that Glen E. Knight has been selected to fill the Ranger vacancy in the North District of Shenandoah National Park, which was occasioned by the death of Richard C. Koontz of Luray. Knight, a native of Bedford County, is transferring to Shenandoah from Gettysburg National Military Park, Penna., where he has been stationed for the past three years. He also has served at Chesapeake •and Ohio Canal National Historic Park in Maryland; and prior to that permanent appointment, he served four summers as a Seasonal Ranger on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
