West visited

Mrs. Mozelle Carver returned to her home in Washington Monday after two weeks visiting and sightseeing in California. Among those she visited were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dellamamia in Fremont, Mr. and Mrs. David Cowden in Angels Camp, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ockerman in Redding, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Peltier in Willow Creek.

Some of the places of interest she saw were Columbia State Park, where gold mining began in 1848; Angels Camp, where Mark Twain wrote the story of the celebrated Jumping Frog; the old Chinese mining town and Joss house (temple) in Weaverville; Eureka on the Pacific Ocean, and home of the. redwood, Sequoia National Park.D
