The support from the community and our friends for the lunch and bake sale sponsored over the weekend by the Recreation Center was wonderful. The net profit from the two days was $174, which is a lot of money, considering it came from the sale of individual sandwiches, cups of coffee and pieces of pie and cake.
I want to thank everyone who showed so much interest in this event and helped make it such a success, including all the members of the fund-raising committee, the people in the various communities who donated baked goods and other items, all those who worked in various capacities on Saturday and Sunday, and a special thanks to the young people
