FIRE, RESCUE
Washington Fire Department answered two calls on October 13. The first was to a trash fire on the Burke property behind the Washington carnival grounds and the other was a roadside fire on Route 211 just east of Hillsdale.
Washington Rescue Squad took Larry Woodward of Washington to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal from Sutphin’s Grocery on October 19. This unit on October 21 took Roger Hitt of Castleton from Rappahannock County High School to Warren Memorial with a cut hand.O
