Mrs. Ruby Bell of Louisa gave a demonstration on spinning during the weekend arts and crafts exhibit and sale held October 19 and 20 at Sperryville fire hall. She has been teaching members of the local craft group to spin. Mrs. Bell cards the wool, spins it into skeins and dyes it, using natural color sources, like marigolds, elderberrys, onion skins, etc. She knits or chrochets the wool into afghans, capes, sweaters, and many other attractive garments.
