In reading the many articles which have been published about kindergartens, I have not found the change in entrance dates for first grade pupils mentioned.
For many years a child was required to be six by October 1, but the picture has changed. In 1974 a child is required to be six by November 1; in 1975, six by December 1; in 1976, six by January 1.
