Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wayland of South Carolina, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Johnson, and grandsons, Walter and Charlie Johnson of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wood of Reva were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wayland.
The monthly pastors conference was held at Woodville Baptist Church Monday night. Attending were the Rev. Floyd Binns, the Rev. Robert Ellis, the Rev. John Farrar, the Rev. Gordon George, the Rev. John McKay, the Rev. A.C. Walker, the Rev. Roy Mathena, the Rev. Gale Titchenell, the Rev. Dennis Knight, the Rev. Ronald Wiley, the Rev. Ernest Duggins, the Rev. Richard J. Englert and Deacons Raymond Johnson and Lee Payne.
Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Vest and children, Patsy and Todd spent from Thursday until Monday in Rockingham, N.C. Sunday they attended the American 500 Stock Car Race there.
Mrs. Mae Corbin of Alexandria was a weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Butler and is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. George C. Hawkins.
