BLUE RIDGE Hunt will be the host for Saturday’s point-to-point races, March 8, third of the Virginia series and the 26th annual race meeting for this hunt. Woodley Farm on Route 340, two miles south of Berryville, is the setting, where spectators have a panoramic view of the course from their cars^and can see every fence.
Normally, Blue Ridge has a fourrace card, but this year an added attraction is the first event, a hunting-pace pair race, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Early entries are a pair from Old Dominion, Mrs. Joan Hopewell on Standard Bearer and Mrs. Judy Gilman on Priceless Spring. Four teams from Blue Ridge Hunt are Mimi Donovan and David Robinson, B. Beverly Byrd and Westy Byrd, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Warner, Bob Pillion and Mrs. Liz Dunning, and Mrs. G.P. Greenhalgh, Jr. with Miss Christine Hill. Post time for the novice race, the Sandy Baldwin Memorial is • 2:30 p.m. Among the first to enter are Mrs. Redmond Toerge’s Believe the Price, Halfway Farm’s Fell Swoop, Fred Green’s Moby Dick, John W. Latta’s Tahitian Treat, and Dr. Ralph Lynch’s Barrow’s Negros, winner last week at Marlboro.
