The close-up photo last week was sugar crystals which were identified by several readers, though many of them thought it was salt. Salt is more uniform and more distinct. The winner of the contest drawn from the entries was Sterling Webb of Castleton. Others to correctly name the sugar were Beverly Gillespie, J.B. Holman, Todd Hrebik and Jeff Burke.
