1 thinK if your paper would publicize the advantages of this insurance to the people of the county I am sure many of those whose homes are in flood plains would want this protection.
This program by the government expires July 1, 1975, and any county not applying by then will be ineligible for this coverage.
I am sure that many of the residents living along streams in the county don’t realize that maybe their homes or buildings are located on so-called flood palinsand that their normal insurance will not cover any water damage.
The zoning plan adopted by the county may well conform to the government requirements and if application was made by the county these people could then get insurance to cover them. I think that our representatives should do all in their power so that this protection can be obtained.
