BULL SALE - The 17th Annual Performance Tested Bull Sale will be this Friday, March 7. The sale starts at 10 at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises, four miles south of Culpeper on Route 29. A total of 114 bulls will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. Included are 68 Angus, 35 Polled Herefords, six Charolais, two Simmentals, two Brangus and one Red Angus. The performance records on these bulls includes 205-day weight, 140-day test average daily gain, adjusted 365 day yearling weight, type score, frame and muscle scores, height at hips, and fat thickness.
SPRING FEEDER CALF AND YEARLING SALES - If you plan on marketing your calves or yearlings through the Culpeper, Marshall or Winchester spring graded sales, consignments for most of these sales must be made by the 12th of March. The Culpeper Sale will be on April 17 at the Culpeper Enterprises. Cattle are to be tagged on the farm, weigh 300-1000 pounds and grade at least medium.
