I read with interest the article in last week’s paper concerning the discussion of Flood Insurance, by the Board of Supervisors. I live in Old Hollow on the Piney River. I am not sure that this is considered flood plain or not, but year before last during the hurricane damage was done to the road and to several families in this Hollow. I, for one, am very interested in the protection that this insurance would afford and I have talked to several other people and they, too, are interested. One of them told me that in the early fifties a hurrican did severe damage around Sperryville.
