OBITUARIES

F.B. Hitt

A funeral service for Floyd Brown Hitt of Amissville was conducted Tuesday at the Forest Grove Baptist Church at Viewtown with burial in the family section of the church cemetery. The Rev. David Brown, pastor of the church conducted the service.

Mr. Hitt was fatally injured in a traffic accident, Saturday, March 1, 1975. He was 45, the son of the late Joseph Shelton Hitt and the late Lelia Brown Hitt of Amissville. He was employed as a shop foreman with the R. L. Rider Company of Warrenton.

Survivors include his wife, the former Lucy Mae Smith of Amissville, four sons, Floyd Daniel Hitt of Sperryville, David Shelton Hitt, Matthew Dean Hitt and Donald Gregory Hitt, all of Amissville and one granddaughter, Janet Lynn Hitt.

The pallbearers were Menefee Utz, William Printz, Cletus Printz, Theodore Barron, William Payne, William Rider, Keith Payne and James Weeks. The Geest Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. □
