THE five-member Board of Assessors, working with a state appraiser, has completed the enormous task of appraising the real estate and improvements of the county. The duty of this board was to appraise properly on an equal basis and set the assessed value using 13°0 of the appraised value as the guide.
This concludes the performance of the Board of Assessors, which was composed of Mrs. Helen Kilby, Charlie Compton, Robert Anderson, H.S. Barksdale and Walter Masterson. Morton Bacon was the state personnel member of the group. The reassessment and equalization of real estate and improvements is required every six years by the Stale.
