Col. E.A. McNear, zoning administrator, said that while he is generally against variances, the Foster situation was a perfect example of why occasional variances are necessary. “It would be a hardship not to allow it,” he said. “I see no disadvantage in not letting him do it.”
The variance was approved, with the stipulation that adequate septic system permits for both lots were obtained. Supervisor Herbert Foster abstained for the vote.
