Do landowners differ in the care of, or practices on, the land? Apparently not to any great extent. Bush-hogging and brush control appear to be the most common practice on parcels owned either by residents or non-residents. Size of parcel will influence the application of conservation measures. Of the parcels under 1.1 acres 77 percent reported no conservation practices. Of the parcels over 50 acres, only 22 percent reported no conservation. The most common practices on all size parcels appeared to be bushhogging, fertilizing and liming pastures.C
