DR. William H. McCoy, president of Lord Fairfax Community College, has announced the establishment of 16 tuition scholarships for area residents. The establishment of the scholarships was made by the Lord Fairfax Community College Board at its last regular meeting. Two scholarships will go to each of the eight political subdivisions served by the college: Clarke, Fauquier, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock and Shenandoah Counties and the City of Winchester.
Principals of high schools in each area have been asked to recommend candidates for the awards. Final recommendations will be made by the College Scholarship Committee.
