TO THE TAXPAYERS
OF RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY
I, MARILYN MERRILL BAILEY, as candidate for the office of COMMISSIONER of REVENUE, wish to pledge the following , if elected: I intend to keep the office open at all times during the regular office hours, with someone available during the lunch hour for the convenience of the taxpayers. I will endeavor to provide continuity of services during the transition period. As required by the Code of Vigginia, Title 58, Section 58-861/1 intend to be present at a convenient public place in each district of the county one or more days before May 1st for the purpose of receiving State and local tax returns and rendering such assistance as may be necessary in the preparation thereof. It is my belief that the compliance of this law will be a convenience to the taxpayers who live at a distance from the county seat. I shall conscientiously execute the duties and responsibilities of the office with integrity and impartiality and extend friendly, courteous service to all taxpayers.
