PLANNING District 9 4-H Leaders were recognized at the Annual 4-H Leaders’ Award Banquet at the General Washington Dinner Theatre in Fredericksburg on Friday evening October 24th.

The 4-H leaders enjoyed a buffet dinner and the play, “Annie Get Your Gun.” Those from Rappahannock attending were Mrs. Helen Holschuh, Miss Ellen Mustoe, Mrs. Donna Fisher and Mis. Ginny Pierson. All received a certificate of recognition. Others recognized for assistance with 4-H Day Camp included Mrs. Gracie Caliandro, Rev. Jenks Hobson, Rev. Ronald Wiley, Paul Poling, Clifton Jenkins, Mrs. Mona Green, Mrs. Amy Monahan and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bomberger.

Leaders of the Light Horse and Pony Club recognized were Moody Aylor, Mrs. Phyllis Irwin, Mrs. Pattie Alexander and Mrs. Joan Welch.

Chester Gap 4-H Community Club leaders are Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey, Mrs. Doris Williams, Hubert Gilkey, Timmy Williams and Jimmy Williams. Washington 4-H

There will be a Social at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville Halloween night, October 31, at 8 p.m. Prizes, games and refreshments will be enjoyed. This is sponsored by the Angelic Chorus.
