A SERIES of seminars on “Land Use Issues and Problems” will be held in each of Virginia’s 22 planning districts by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute’s Public Policy and Water Resources Research Centers. The seminars, conducted by J. Paxton Marshall and Waldon R. Kearns, will include the state’s concerns in land use, the relation of land and water in land use, the effect of Virginia House Bill 1304 on local government planning, propoyed state legislation on agricultural and forest districts, use value taxation, and any other topics suggested.

A special land use seminar will

be held at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, for the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission.

On Friday, November 14, the Northern Virginia Planning District Commission will host the seminar at the Manassas Mall
