the Follies with her. They were joined for dinner and the Follies by Miss Josephine Chelf of Culpeper. Sunday evening dinner guests of the Lathams and Streagles were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kephart and Mrs. C. C. Cockerill of Herndon. Miss Susan Latham of MWC, Fredericksburg spent Saturday with her family. Miss Phoebe Green accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Strother of Warrenton to Williamsburg Saturday and attended the College of William and Mary and Furman football game.
Guests for supper Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hoffman of Memphis, Tenn., Jacob Heflin of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Priest and Lisa. The Hoffmans spent several days with the Priest family and returned to their home Wednesday.
Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Price Wyatt were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Saffelle, Misses Virginia and Paula Saffelle of Arlington, and Cecelia and Wendy Anders of Springfield. Mr. Wyatt, Mrs. Rena Corbin and Mrs. Hester Poe spent last Wednesday in Culpeper.
Mrs. Evelyn Harrison has returned home after undergoing surgery in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton .
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Poling spent the weekend in Ferrum where they visited their daughter Cheryl, a student at Ferrum College, and attended the Ferrum Folk Festival.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Massie were Mr. and Mrs. John G. Cargill and Mr. and Mrs. Macon Putney of Bedford.
BIRTHDAY BANQUET
The First Baptist Church Sunday School is sponsoring a Birthday Banquet in honor of Deacon Clarence Dearing November 15 at 6 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Dining Room. Banquet tickets are on sale. Adult tickets are $2 and Children under 12 are $1. This will benefit the Sunday School. A gift or love offering for Deacon Dearing is in order if you desire.□
