FIRE, RESCUE
October 22 the Amissville Rescue Squad took Herman Seeger from Cannon’s Trailer Court to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The following day John Early was taken to Fauquier Hospital with injuries from a mini-bike accident. They were called to the home of Herman Scharmer Saturday where he was found D.O.A. The evening of the same day the unit responded to an accident on Route 621 where Cindy Baldwin, Pat Settle and Stan Settle were taken to Fauquier Hospital. Immediately following that Madelene Carter was taken from a traffic collision on Route 613 to Fauquier Hospital.
Amissville Fire unit accompanied the rescue squad on both of these runs.
Washington Rescue Squad took Mrs. Bessie Woodard from Sperryville October 23 to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The Washington unit assisted in the search last week for the “lost” child near Woodville.
Flint Hill Rescue Squad worked the Bealeton Air Show Sunday and October 25 they transported Earl Many from his home to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Amissville and Castleton Fire Companies responded to a bam fire at the Harris place on Route 622 on October 28. □
