Bees are an important aid in the pollination of many crops. They are also responsible for the production of honey. Pesticides used to control insects on agricultural crops have caused many problems for beekeepers.
An indemnity payment program is designed to provide cash payments to beekeepers who have lost or had damage related to the use of pesticides.
Local ASCS offices provide the forms, as well as assist beekeepers in filing applications and determining eligibility.□
