NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries at a meeting held in Richmond, Virginia, on May 7, 1976, adopted the following amended or new regulations pursuant to Sections 29-125, 29-126 and 29-127 of the Code of Virginia, to become effective July 1, 1976.
CHAPTER 3. Bear.
R3-6.1. Immediately upon killing a bear, any person exempt from license requirement as prescribed in S 29-52 of the Code of Virginia, or issued a complimentary license as prescribed in S 29-80 or the holder of a permanent license issued pursuant to S 29-52 (3) shall present the carcass of his kill to an authorized checking station or to any appropriate representative of the Commission in the county or adjoining county in which the bear was killed. At such time, the person shall be given an official game tag furnished by the Commission, which tag shall be securely attached to the carcass.
CHAPTER 5.1. Crow
R5.1-1. It shall be lawful to hunt crow on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of each week from August 1 through the last day in February, both dates inclusive.
CHAPTER 6. Deer.
R6-2. It shall be lawful to hunt deer on the third Monday in November and for eleven consecutive hunting days following in the counties west of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the counties of Amherst (west of U.S. Route 29), Bedford, Campbell (west of Southern Railroad), Franklin, Henry, Nelson (west of Route 151), Patrick and Pittsylvania (west of Southern Railroad) and on the G. Richard Thompson Wildlife Management Area.
