R6-3. (a-1) In addition to the season provided in subsection (a) of this regulation, it shall be lawful to hunt deer with bow and arrow in all counties west of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the Monday following the close of the regular firearms season on deer west of the Blue Ridge Mountains through January 5, both dates inclusive.

(a-2) Notwithstanding other provisions of this chapter, it shall be lawful to take deer of either sex during the archery seasons provided for in subsections (a) and (a-1) of this regulation, provided that the taking of such deer is within the total daily and seasonal bag limits provided for deer.

R6-3.1. (a) It shall be lawful to hunt deer with primitive weapons (muzzle-loading guns) on the last six hunting days prior to the second Monday in November on the following Commission - owned lands: Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area, Gath right Wildlife Management Area, G. Richard Thompson Wildlife Management Area, Goshen-Little North Mountain Wildlife Management Area and on the Jefferson National Forest, north of New River.
