THE 54th annual State 4-H Congress will be held on the Virginia Tech campus Monday to Friday, June 21-25. Participants will include about 1,400 4-H members volunteer leaders and Virginia Extension staff from across the Commonwealth. Statewide there are about 208,000 4-H members, aged 9 to 19, in some 3,000 clubs.
Theme for this year’s Congress will be “4-H ‘76—Horizons Unlimited,” symbolizing youth’s looking to the future as the nation observes its 200th birthday. Awaiting the Congress delegates is a week filled with such activities as demonstrations, judging contests, recreation, career workshops and information fair.
