Since 1933 the Agricultural Conservation Program has shared the cost with the farmer in carrying out conservation and pollution abatement projects.
This cost-share assistance has helped the farmers to seed grasses, improve pastures and other projects that prevent agricultural pollution from reaching our streams and rivers. Practices which contribute to long term soil and water conservation have been emphasized under this program. These practices provide forest for recreation, wildlife, watersheds, and above all adds to the beauty of Rappahannock County for all to epjoy.
