Library notes
, The Rappahannock County Library has been given a new genealogy book, “The Moses Jeffries Family of Northern Virginia.” The book traces the history of the family of Moses Jeffries and Molly Rector of the Red Oak Mountain.
Moses and Molly came from the Marshall area of Fauquier County and purchased 200 acres on the mountain in 1810. The book has been designed for researchers, not only of Jeffries people, but other families in the Northern Virginia locality.
The author of the book, Marie Jeffries Capps of Silver Spring, Md., asks that any residents of Rappahannock County who may know of descendents of either George Jeffries, Jesse Jeffries, or Nancy Jeffries Hill, correspond with her at 10206 Lorain Avenue, Silver Spring, Md., 20901.
