R6-9.1. Immediately upon killing a deer, any person exempt from license requirement as prescribed in S 29-52 of the Code of Virginia, or issued a complimentary license as prescribed in S 29-80 or the holder of a permanent license issued pursuant to S 29-52 (3) shall present the carcass of his kill to an authorized checking station or to any appropriate representative of the Commission in the county or adjoining county in which the deer was killed. At such time, the person shall be given an official game tag furnished by the Commission, which tag shall be securely attached to the carcass.
R6-11. It shall be unlawful to hunt deer with dogs in the counties of Amherst (west of U.S. Route 29), Bedford, Campbell (west of Southern Railroad), Fairfax, Franklin, Henry, Loudoun, Nelson (west of Route 151), Northampton, Patrick and Pittsylvania (west of Southern Railroad), and on the G. Richard Thompson and Rappahannock Wildlife Management Areas.
