The Washington 4-H Garden Club planted com Tuesday and plans to sell the produce in Washington this summer. Last week, with help from county extension agent Rap Owings, the children learned how to take a soil sample and then started cleaning the garden plot. Tuesday, they staked the rows and planted corn. Each child has his own row that he will be responsible for keeping weeded.
