The Census of all persons ages 1 to 19 living in Rappahannock County will be conducted during the month of May. The census is required by State Law and is used by the state in the distribution of state sales tax monies to the County.
The Census count will include all persons who were bom after January 1, 1958 and those born before January 1, 1977.
Six Census enumerators will contact parents or guardians during May to secure information required. The Rappahannock County School Board requests the cooperation of all parents in assisting the enumerators. It will be helpful if parents will prepare a list of all persons in their homes under 20 years of age, with their birth dates, prior to the visit or call of the census taker.
