In 1967, the club launched a well planned horse show. A standard ring was built and jumps added. Each May many area horsemen were able to exhibit their skills in t* full program of English and Western classes. The shows continued for several years affording excellent entertainment for the public. New lanes of Route 211 brought a halt to these contests. The ring was then removed and sold.

History should be chronological but there are times when mountain top events tower above lesser experiences. Distressing records contend that 95 per cent of all rural fires are total losses.
