“We sit around and make all these grand statements about viable agriculture...agriculture can’t hack it because there’s no labor,” said RappahannockRapidan Planning District Commission Chairman E. P. Luke at last Thursday’s Commission meeting in Culpeper. “There’s no labor because there’s no pay...with no farm labor and no prospects of any, we have to look at viable agriculture with a big question mark.”
Luke’s remarks followed a presentation on regional land use and development planning by Commission staffer David Marshall.
