Daily Vacation Bible Schools of the Amissville Baptist Church and the Amissville Methodist Church. Since Christian churches are a vital, part of the community, further recognition was shown by the annual club attendance at these two churches and Forest Grove Baptist Church. A cooperative effort by the Ruritans and local churches furnished gift baskets to needy families at Christmas time each year. Awards were seasonally made for home lighting displays at the nativity season.
