Independence Day will be celebrated in Washington, Va. with a country fair which will include craft demonstrations, a flea market, patriotic readings, chorus presentations, folk dancing, bake and ice cream sales, climaxed with a fireworks display.
The day begins at 10 a.m. with the opening of sales booths on the streets, as well as local shops which will be open for business.
The Rappahannock Womans Club will sell ice cream at the parish hall parking lot. The Episcopal Church auxiliary will have watermelon for sale and will also sponsor a bake sale at the parish hall.
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary will have a food booth at the fire house in addition to the thrift shop.
