The June session of the Rappahannock School Board was Chairman E. N. Montague’s last meeting before retirement from his position as the county’s “at large” representative. At the close of the meeting, he gave the Board some parting advice.
He reminded his associates that Rappahannock’s school system was only one-half man year above the minimum state level for ratio of administrative personnel to pupils and below the minimum per pupil funding level. “If we slip on anything, we could lose considerable funds,” warned Montague.
