Funeral services were conducted June 23 in Summit Point, W. Va., for Mrs. Bessie Hester Jenkins of Summit Point with interment following in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville. She died June 20, 1977.
Mrs. Jenkins was born Sept. 3, 1888 at Sperryville, daughter of the late Thomas and Lucy Sisk.
Her husband, John Walker Jenkins, predeceased her.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. George Jenkins of Sperryville and Mrs. Llwllyn Burner, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Tom Housden and Mrs. Margaret Crim, all of Summit Point; two sons, Walter Jenkins and Roosevelt Jenkins, both of Summit Point; 47 grandchildren, and two brothers.
