He said that he didn’t think county Supervisors wanted Sheriffs Departments to neglect duties because patrolling can’t be listed on mileage sheets.
“There’s plenty of work for the State Police and Sheriffs both. . .You’ve got a good Sheriff over there,” he told Chairman Luke.
Cox added that he didn’t think a memorandum of understanding between the two law enforcement agencies would work in solving the problem.
