Virginia forage producers, agribusiness interests and others concerned with the 4.3 million acres of pasture, hay and silage produced in Virginia, have formed an organization to support the state’s forage industry. A group of 26 producers, agribusiness representatives and agency personnel met at Alton recently to discuss the need for a Virginia Forage and Grassland Council, and adopted by-laws for its organization on July 9.
