HAYWOOD JOHNSON of Washington, D. C. comes from his home about every three weeks to get water from the mountain spring near Panorama to take home. He used to buy distilled water for 99 cents a gallon to avoid consuming the chemicals necessary in the city water supply. Now he keeps a supply from the spring which lasts his family for three weeks, so it is no more costly than buying it. He fills the trunk of his car with gallon jugs. Johnson is retired now, so has the time to make the trip and enjoys a ride in the country too. He was formerly an employee at the commissary at Walter Reed.
