Miller maintained that it was the intent of the ordinance to exempt 25-acre lot development from meeting the rezoning requirement. However, he stated that he would go along with the current interpretation if the ordinance was amended to include a minimum lot size in RS 1 zones. He also suggested that the Zoning Ordinance allow for two separate RS 1 zones—one 25acre lot size and one 5-acre lot size.
Miller advised the Planners to act on the loophole immediately. He said a minimum lot size amendment could be adopted the next time the Planners considered a rezoning. “I think the mechanics will allow that...It’s got to be done.”
