The Rappahannock Welfare Board breezed through a short agenda in open session at last Friday’s meeting. In the major item of business, Social Services Director Elizabeth Buntin formally submitted eligibility workers Becky Burke’s resignation and asked for emergency approval to have office assistant Nancy Reeve fill the position.
Mrs. Buntin said she accepted Mrs. Burke’s resignation with regret.
“I hate to see her leave,” agreed Board member Aline Johnson. "It will be hard to fill her position with someone as capable as Becky is now...But I can’t say that I blame her.” $$
