In commenting upon her appointment, Dr. Grant Rush, Administrator of the Consortium, stated that Mrs. Dalton’s background and experience make her extremely well qualified for the position. Mrs. Dalton was educated in the public schools of Fairfax County. She attended Lynchburg College and while there was elected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities because of her scholastic achievement, involvement in intercollegiate sports, and leadership in campus religious activities. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology-Chemistry from Lynchburg and a Master of Arts in Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Mrs. Dalton has taught in the public schools seven and onehalf years.
