By 1979, a new 4-H Educational Center, just over the mountain, will be available for our youngsters. The new facility built on 229 acres, 5 miles south of Front Royal, off Rt. 522, will be available for day camps, and overnight camps as well as conferences for young and old, not just 4-H members.
Rappahannock’s fund raising campaign drive will begin with a BBQ Chicken dinner Sunday, May 28 at the Rappahannock Recreation Center. Two of our elected representatives, J. Kenneth Robinson and George Beard will speak, and Bill Brundige of the Washington Redskins will make an appearance. All will be entertained by local high school musicians. Make plans now to attend and support the 4-H Educational Center.
