Dr. Jerry Martin of Flint Hill recently was awarded certification by the American Board of Family Practice. The Board confers Diplomate status to doctors who have successfully completed a minimum of 300 approved hours in continuing education during a six-year period. Certification also requires that the doctor pass a written examination primarily covering new advances in fields applicable to family practice with special emphasis on the previous ten years.
