Sunbeams
In 1969, Greg was a “Slinbeam” in Mary Clark’s Sunday school class at the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church. As part of their Christmas in August celebration, Mrs. Clark recalled that her Sunbeams sent gifts to children in Baptist missionary fields and held a ceremonial launching of bottles carrying Christmas messages into the Thornton River. "We were hoping the bottles would be found around Christmas time,” Mrs. Clark said.
