As of July 1, trucks used rxchisively in farming with veight limits ranging from ’,500 pounds to 76,000 tounds will qualify for a 50 •er cent reduction in license ees. The legislation, supported trongly by the Virginia Farm iureau, was signed into law iy Governor John Dalton liter winning overwhelming ipproval in both the House ind Senate during the 1978 jeneral Assembly session. The new law has no >earing on the unlicensed arm truck statute which was reserved and allows the armer to operate unlicensed ehicles within a 10-mile imit.
